CENTRE FOR NON RESIDENTS

With effect from the 1st April 2001 the Centre for Non Residents replaced FICO which is aimed at bringing closer together all departments within the Inland Revenue concerned with Non Resident issues.

The two main centres are located in Bootle and Nottingham.

NRLTS AUDITS

The Audits of Non Resident Landlords Tax Scheme have moved away from CNR to the Audit and Pension Schemes Service which is part of the Capital and Savings Group.

GUIDANCE NOTES FOR LETTING AGENTS AND TENANTS

The current notes are in a loose-leaf form which will make future updating easier. Amendments can be made without having to wait for a full reprint.

The main features are:

  • Editorial changes which bring the notes up to date and improve clarity
  • Redesign of NRL forms
  • Provision of an Index
  • The latest update was issued in Dec 2002 and includes two very helpful guides for Agents to give to their Landlords and Tenants. Special note should be taken of issues mentioned in the Revenue's covering letter.
